Welcome to The Wedding Dance Experts! We understand how frustrating it can be to be expected to dance in front of hundreds of people on your wedding day without any experience or background in dance. To help, we created a 90-minute workshop for wedding couples to learn how to move gracefully with each other around the dance floor on their big day.
We begin by learning about you. What song have you chosen to dance to? What kind of shoes will you be wearing? How big is your dance floor and what type of floor is it? We address these questions and more to help you begin thinking about your dance in order to achieve success on your big day.
We then jump into the meat of the workshop: getting you dancing together! We teach you basic connection and movement concepts in order for you to communicate with each other through dance. We work on timing, presentation, and grace to ensure you both look elegant while moving around the floor. Expect to learn an easy turn or two that shows off the bride and her glorious dress. We will also work on an "intro" and "ending" for your dance. We'll talk through different options for how to begin and you can choose what best suits you. Our favorite part is the big dip that ensures a "picture perfect" finale.
You will be sharing the floor with couples just like you! One of the most rewarding pieces of the workshop is using your new dance moves to other songs. The movements learned for your First Dance can be applied to the rest of the songs played at your wedding throughout the evening.
We finish the day by asking for your feedback. We are always looking to improve to better help future couples achieve success on the dance floor for their First Dance. Hear what past couples have said about previous Wedding Workshops below!
"The instructor was patient and gave great tips, gave us time to practice with our song, and was very person. [We] liked the small group setting."
